[Solved] Why is source follower not suggested to be used as a buffer?

Hari Krishna Asks: Why is source follower not suggested to be used as a buffer?
I was listening to a lecture by Albert J.P Theuwissen. It was regarding CMOS image sensors and he mentioned that a famous electronic engineer once said that we should not use source follower as a buffer. But then he also mentioned that we use them in 3T and 4T circuits primarily because of space constraints.

Source follower could be different from ideal buffer, for example not exactly unity gain and output resistance is not zero. But is it that far from ideal buffer ? is there any other non idealities in using source follower that I am missing?
