[Solved] How to read a Sim card using the 8051 microcontroller and bare minimum circuitry

Adityan.P Asks: How to read a Sim card using the 8051 microcontroller and bare minimum circuitry
Hi, I am a beginner to low level programming and electronics.I know a fair amount of high level stuff. Since I am getting started in electronics I bought an 8051 development board from amazon.

So my Question is how to easily read/write a sim card without using a gsm module or too much external circuits except the development board, assuming that it’s possible.

I have found one using an Arduino here

I also found this article which uses a max 232 Ic.To connect it to serial port.Is there anyway to adapt this circuit to replace the max 232 to an 8051.

Please forgive the format of the question this is my first question on electronics.stackexchange.com

Any help would be appreciated
