[Solved] how to override instance of class defined in parent theme?

waspinator Asks: how to override instance of class defined in parent theme?
I’d like to override how Dark Mode is implemented in twentytwentyone from a child theme.

In the parent theme it seems to be defined in themes/twentytwentyone/functions.php.

Code:
// Dark Mode.
require_once get_template_directory() . '/classes/class-twenty-twenty-one-dark-mode.php';
new Twenty_Twenty_One_Dark_Mode();

How would I redefine this in a child theme?
