[Solved] Custom fonts on GitLab pages: possible?

Niranjan Asks: Custom fonts on GitLab pages: possible?
I want to use GitLab pages to build a website with plain html and css. I am already successful at deploying the website, but I want to use a custom font for the text on my website. I want the text to be displayed only in that font on any device and in any browser. First question, is this possible? If yes, then:

  1. What should my repository-structure be? i.e. In which directory the fonts should be placed, in which directory the index.html be?
  2. What is the most minimal way for loading a font for some text in html with GitLab-pages?

PS: I have converted all the fonts to webfonts if that’s necessary.
