[Solved] Chart.js pie chart – Remove series border, keep inner / outer borders

NimueSTEM Asks: Chart.js pie chart – Remove series border, keep inner / outer borders
I am using Chart.js to make a nested pie chart. The chart needs an inner and outer segment of the pie. I have achieved this by adding a data element that only contains one value. This works, but the border draws a vertical black line. See image below:

enter image description here

I can remove the line by setting the borderwidth:0 – but this removes the inner / outer border, which I want to keep.

Q1: How can I remove the veritcal line and keep the inner / outer borders

Q2: How can I remove all interactivity from the chart — currently when you mouse over, the series with data in are highlighted. interactivityEnabled: false is set in the code.

Any pointers greatly received. Cheers

Code:
var config = {
  interactivityEnabled: false,
  type: 'pie',
  data: {
    datasets: [{
      data: [1],

      backgroundColor: ['rgb(155, 140, 175)'],
       borderWidth: 3,
      borderColor:"black",

    },{
      data: [10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10],
      backgroundColor: ['rgb(0, 160, 100)', ],
      borderWidth: 3,
      borderColor:"black",

    },{
      data: [10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10],
      backgroundColor: ['rgb(0, 160, 100)', ],
      borderWidth: 3,
      borderColor:"black",
    }, {
      data: [10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10],
      backgroundColor: ['rgb(0, 130, 55)', ],
      borderWidth: 3,
      borderColor:"black",
    }, {
      data: [10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10],
      backgroundColor: ['rgb(0, 130, 55)','rgb(0, 130, 55)','rgb(0, 130, 55)', ],
      borderWidth: 3,
      borderColor:"black",
    }, {
      data: [1],
      backgroundColor: ['rgb(150, 140, 75)'],
      borderWidth: 3,
      borderColor:"black",
    }],

  },
  options: {

    tooltips: {
           enabled: false,
      },

    animation: false,

  }
};

var chart = new Chart('canvas', config);

Code:
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/Chart.js/2.9.3/Chart.js"></script>

<body>
<div>
  <canvas id="canvas" ></canvas>
</div>
</body>
